Juice Cleanse

IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE CLEANSING

PRE-CLEANSE

It is important to prepare the body before doing any of our juice cleanses. We recommend the following advice before you cleanse:

  1. Keep hydrated and drink more water (2L to 3L per day)
  2. Reduce your caffeine intake, try some herbal teas instead
  3. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables
  4. Reduce your meat and poultry intake
  5. Eliminate processed foods entirely

DURING YOUR CLEANSE

During your cleanse you may experience symptoms such as minor headaches and light headedness. These are signs that your body is detoxifying – primarily from caffeine, processed foods and sugar.

  1. Keep hydrated with lots of water
  2. Do gentle exercise, go for a walk or do yoga to stretch your muscles, organs and tissues in order to release more toxins.
  3. Every time you feel hungry, drink more water or drink your next juice earlier (especially the Breakthrough Juice) and your body will start feeling full again.
  4. Keep reminding yourself of the benefits and try to enjoy the cleansing process.

POST-CLEANSE

This period is as important as the cleanse itself. It is vital to avoid heavy processed foods as these will cause shock to your system. We recommend vegan or plant based meals for 2-3 days. These include fruit, raw or steamed vegetables, soups, cold-pressed juices and salads. On your 4th day post-cleanse, you can slowly introduce meat and poultry products while still avoiding processed food.
